she/her/hers
Where do you work?
I am a passionate freelance graphic designer eagerly diving into visual work that amplifies equity and justice.
How long have you been involved with Women Unite!?
I just joined the organization, and I’m excited about the opportunity to use my design skills and my passion for collaboration to help “amplify, advocate, and disrupt” with the fervent WU! team.
What do you like most about WU!?
I am passionate about work that unites the knowledge and creativity of the community to help funnel resources towards underserved neighborhoods. I’m thrilled about the opportunity to continue that work with an exceptional group of women.
What’s a hobby you have?
Yoga, although I’m relatively new to the practice I’m currently taking a Yoga Teacher Training course on the weekends and am exploring the entire lifestyle practice.
What gives you hope?
Generational love: my niece and my grandmother. My niece will be 2 this year and my grandmother will be 90. It’s been great to witness such a vast span of generations.
What are 2–3 ways you’ve been getting through the fall of late-stage capitalism?
I actively pontificate with my friends and family. Together we yell and scream about the state of our democracy until we feel a little better lol. Also, walking. I love to get out in nature, whether it’s hiking at Crowders Mountain or taking a stroll at Freedom Park.
What’s a fun or random fact you’d like to share?
I went to Tulum, Mexico last summer and jumped into a few cenotes. I’ve never experienced anything so beautiful.
What’s one of your favorite local businesses?
There are so many local gems here in Charlotte, NC [where I’m based]. I’ll highlight Pauline’s Tea Bar. It’s a black-woman-owned tea bar herbal tea lounge. The ambiance and selections are phenomenal. Such a great vibe.
