I’m currently in the social impact space creating content and building community.

How long have you been involved with Women Unite!?
I’m brand new baby but SO excited to be here! I’ll be creating content and helping promote all the very dope things WU! is up to.

What do you like most about WU!?
WU! doesn’t just talk the talk, they walk the walk. I love that the mission is focused on uplifting and empowering people that are often left by the wayside. It’s an honor to be part of a team dedicated to shining a light on such diverse and impactful organizations in my favorite city.

What’s an issue you care deeply about? Why?
Health disparities for BIPOC folks—specific emphasis on mental and sexual health. I’ve had the chance to work in both of these spaces and this is not talked about enough.

It’s so important to make healthcare (esp explanation of medication adherence, healthy habits, and of course the dreaded health insurance topic) and wellness accessible for all so our communities can live healthier lives.

What’s a hobby you have?
Binge watching true crime, buying a new record and listening to it while cleaning my apartment, spending time with my corgi named Madonna, and cackling with friends with a glass of wine in hand.

What gives you hope?
Doing work that fills my cup, conversations with my parents, and seeing anyone I care about thrive!!

What’s a recent piece of content you’ve enjoyed?
Oldie but a goodie, rewatching Insecure on HBO Max. Issa is a mf queen and this show was an integral part of my journey of self love and celebrating my Blackness!

Fun/random fact you want to share?
I was born on the west coast, lived in the south, ended up on the east coast and also lived/currently live in the midwest. I moved a lot growing up and it really shaped me into who I am today!

Kibbitznest is my absolute favorite corner of the universe and Chicago woman-owned business!
