Where do you work?
Founder, Managing Director of BrandWell Marketing. A branding and marketing agency helping health and wellness brands build trust online and create genuine connection with customers and clients.
How long have you been involved with Women Unite!?
I joined the board in January 2025 and I help with anything from events, promoting Women Unite! activities, partner selection, and whatever is needed.
What do you like most about WU!?
What drew me to the organization was the focus on elevating the voices of women and other people who are often overlooked, ignored, or silenced to bring the resources needed to build strong, resilient communities. Prioritizing organizations at the forefront of building a more just and compassionate world is essential to see the change needed in our communities.
What’s an issue that you care deeply about?
This is hard to choose one—so I’ll offer 2. War as a means for profit—most noticeably and recently seen in the Gaza genocide and the impact this has on the most vulnerable and those providing life-saving and necessary aid. Fast fashion and its use of modern-day slavery, green-washing, and contribution to global warming just to name a few of its consequences.
What’s a hobby you have?
Living in Chicago, I like to take advantage of the lake as much as possible—running (winter, spring, summer, fall), by myself or with my dog or kids, is one way I keep my sanity and enjoy the beauty of nature in the city.
What gives you hope?
Seeing people stand up for what’s right, help someone in need, make room at the table for those that are often uninvited, and refuse to be silenced when injustices are carried out are just a few glimpses of the best that is sure to come.
What are 2–3 ways you’ve been getting through the fall of late-stage capitalism?
1. Embracing minimalism and delayed gratification—having a home void of clutter and noise of buying new
2. Staying connected with a supportive community
3. The Great British Bake-off—chef’s kiss!
Fun/random fact you want to share?
I am a published poet—important to note: my poems were written when I was 9 and 10 and are in an anthology of children’s poetry book.
What’s one of your favorite local Chicago businesses?
Backlot Coffee—their coffee is wonderful and they have amazing local partners. I also love The Eco Flamingo, their zero waste general store is just what my sustainability journey needed and Lillstreet Art Center is perfect for adults and kids alike.
