Event Brand Identity

Project

Create an event brand identity, digital invitations, social media, and environmental graphics for Friends of Prentice’s annual fundraiser, “Celebrate with Friends.”

How Women Unite! Got Connected

WU! Executive Director, Liz Jansen, worked with Katelynn Woodin, Friends of Prentice’s Development and Events Specialist, at Thresholds. Since then, they’ve stayed in contact and WU! has provided design support for the Friends of Prentice fundraiser gala for the past two years.

About Friends of Prentice

Friends of Prentice funds groundbreaking research at Northwestern Medicine Prentice Women’s Hospital to improve women’s health throughout her life. Since 1983, they have made a tangible, measurable difference in women’s healthcare. Their organization has worked diligently to make inroads in all areas of women’s health, at all ages and stages.

About “Celebrate with Friends”

“Celebrate with Friends” is an annual event to raise critical funds for women’s health. Held on September 20, 2024 at Morgan MFG, the celebration was a long-awaited evening of community camaraderie and resulted in raising nearly $700,000 for research and initiatives in women’s healthcare.

Guests engaged with grant recipients, indulged in interactive food and cocktail stations, enjoyed live music and dancing, and much more—all in the trendy Fulton Market neighborhood.

About the Design

WU! Director of Design, Cassie Tompkins, collaborated with Katelynn, to create a joyful and polished identity that would be flexible across digital and print media all while incorporating Friends of Prentice’s brand colors and typefaces. The final design borrowed inspiration from the industrial chic and dramatically lit atmosphere of the location.

“We had a wonderful experience working with Cassie [WU! Director of Design]. She created branding for our annual fundraiser that was both unique and distinctly Friends of Prentice. We were able to incorporate her design elements into our event decor in a way that tied our branding together for an elevated and cohesive feel.”
