How long have you been involved with Women Unite!?
I joined the board in April 2024. I feel passionate about the work that WU! does. I particularly align with the mission to provide resources to our Chicago communities by offering a platform for growth.

What do you like most about WU!?
WU! not only helps other nonprofits but also provides jobs for women. I absolutely love the community WU! has created. Being able to be surrounded by a group of women who are diverse, passionate, and eager for change is beyond powerful.

What’s an issue that you care deeply about?
I care deeply about financial independence particularly in the BIPOC community, and hope that my platform can, even if in the smallest way, contribute to end financial insecurities that womxn face in brown communities.

What’s a hobby you have?
These days my one-year-old boy and my new business are my hobbies. When I am not on a call with a client or playing with my son—I love horseback riding. Horses are incredible animals—whenever I have time I make my way to the suburbs to ride.

What gives you hope?
LatinX give me hope! The young Latino community feels more empowered than ever. They are loud, they are passionate, and they are determined to make a positive change in this country. Their potential to make an impact in our communities gives me hope for my son’s future and I need that sometimes to sleep well at night.

How have you been getting through the fall of late-stage capitalism?
Becoming more active in my community has helped me mentally get through the state that our country is in. Starting my own business has also helped me tremendously—working solely in corporate can often feel limiting.

Fun/random fact you want to share?
I wish I had something fun, quirky or random about me, but I am very much “you get what you see” type of person.

What’s one of your favorite local Chicago businesses?
Le Village Coworking, Semillas, Kiubo, and City Lit Books
